North West Engineering was originally established in the early eighties as a supplier of precision machined components to British Energy. Over the following years the company grew and developed other markets including Oil and Gas and Medical components and invested heavily in CNC machinery.In 1999 the company was bought by a management team led by the present MD Stewart Urquhart. After the acquisition the decision was taken to develop the Aerospace market in addition to the markets already serviced. The company strategy is to remain at all times in at least 4 markets.
In 2002 as part of the strategy to develop aerospace and grow the business the company acquired the assets of Luneside Engineering Ltd. A local company with over 45 years of experience in the aerospace and nuclear markets.
In 2004 the companies merged to form North West Engineering Group Ltd and until recently were located in the former Luneside facility at Halton.
In 2008 the company relocated to new premises in the White Lund Industrial Estate in Lancaster. The company employs 72 people.

The company have been assessed by BSI and hold the following standard:- BS EN ISO 9001:2002
assessed in accordance with AS/EN 9100 as specified in SBAC/ASCS document TS157 Issue 4.

Overview
North West have a full range of CNC Turning Centres and Milling Machines and a supporting compliment of manual machines including Jig Boring.Please see our Plant List for full details.
We also offer high tolerance specialised turning and grinding of shafts up to 2 metres in length.
